Boost Your CEUS By Starting Early With Pre-Conference Workshops

After a record number of proposals, a thorough review of those proposals, and an increased number of program options, our full conference line-up is set. It offers a solid variety of stellar presentations.
Thursday afternoon is shaping up to be a full and exciting day, starting with Pre-Conference Workshops on suicide and using movies in therapy. Judith Harrington, PhD, LPC, LMFT, will present on “Suicide Prevention, Intervention, and Postvention,” and Michael Kahn, LPC, JD, on “‘Reel’ Therapy: Ethical and Professional Issues for Therapists.”
Both presenters come highly recommended for delivering strong programs on critical topics. The question isn’t whether these workshops will be good, but rather which one to choose!
As we head into the evening on Thursday, the conference officially opens with a reception for all and an opportunity to explore the poster sessions. Posters are a great way to interact with the presenters, ask questions, and garner information from a multitude of topics in a condensed way.
This year, following the Thursday evening reception, we have added additional conference sessions for those who want to get a jump-start on the conference.
Attending these sessions gives conference attendees the potential to earn a full 18 CEUs during the conference, with an additional four hours by attending the Pre-Conference Workshops. That’s 22 CEUs for attending the only national conference devoted exclusively to mental health counselors!
