This presentation offers an engaging, inclusive introduction to polyamory and ethical non-monogamy (ENM). Participants will learn key terms, historical context, and foundational ethical principles such as consent, honesty, and mutual respect. The session explores communication strategies, emotional challenges like jealousy, and common relationship structures. Legal issues and societal stigma are addressed, alongside practical tools for supporting clients in ENM relationships. Emphasis is placed on inclusivity, intersectionality, and self-reflection, helping professionals identify and challenge their own biases. Attendees will leave with greater confidence, cultural competence, and practical skills to ethically support individuals and families practicing non-monogamy.

About the Presenter
Dr. Ami Lynch, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker located in Virginia and licensed in 10 states. She is the founder of Rising Sun Therapy & Wellness, LLC where she is also a psychotherapist. With a warm, deeply affirming approach, Ami specializes in working with LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and those practicing, exploring, or struggling with ethical non-monogamy (ENM). Grounded in trauma-informed care, their practice is rooted in respect, collaboration, and cultural humility. Drawing from experience as a therapist, corporate leader, professor/educator, and advocate, Ami supports clients in navigating identity, relationship dynamics, and personal growth with compassion and clarity.
