AMHCA Foundation 2012 Student Travel Award Scholarship
An important goal of the AMHCA Foundation is to promote the development of graduate students in clinical mental health counseling through scholarships and awards. The Student Travel Award Scholarship recognizes an outstanding graduate student in this field and awards a $1000 travel grant to attend the 2012 AMHCA Annual Conference in Orlando, July 19-21, 2012.
ELIGIBILITY
Any graduate student enrolled in an accredited counseling program is eligible to apply for the scholarship. Applicants must complete the application form and submit the supporting materials, which include an essay, a curriculum vita, and a letter of recommendation from a program faculty member. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
All materials must be submitted via e-mail to Sharon Cyrus-Savory, AMHCA Foundation scholarship award chair.
The deadline for completed applications is April 2, 2012, at 5:00 p.m. EST.
The award winner will be announced on May 1, 2012.
The award winner must register for and attend the AMHCA 2012 Annual Conference. The $1000 award covers any travel- or conference-related expenses including the registration fee, airfare, mileage, hotel expenses, and food.
