Alexandria, VA ñ January 13, 2010 ñ The American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) extends our sympathy to all those affected by the devastating earthquake in Haiti. For quick access to information about relief efforts, we have provided a link to the Red Cross from our homepage, www.amhca.org.
AMHCA has numerous members in the Caribbean and we will keep all members updated if mental health counselors are requested to come to Haiti. At this time, the Red Cross has stated that it is not accepting volunteers to travel to Haiti.
