October 6, 2010 ñ Alexandria, VA ñ Quinn M. Pearson, PhD, LPC, has been named editor-elect for the Journal of Mental Health Counseling. Dr. Pearson is currently Professor of Counselor Education at the University of North Alabama. She will assume the three-year term beginning July 1, 2011. Dr. Pearson had previously been a member of the journal's editorial board.
AMHCA's President, Tom J. Ferro, LPC, noted on behalf of the AMHCA's Board, "We welcome Dr. Pearson's appointment and know she will continue the Journal's high standard of excellence."
