When:  Jun 18, 2026 from 12:00 to 14:00 (ET)

Brought to you by the New York Mental Health Counselors Association

This interactive workshop introduces mental health professionals to applying Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) in couples therapy. Participants will explore the theoretical foundations of CFT and learn how to use compassion-based interventions to:
* Identify and address shame and self-criticism within relationships.
* Enhance empathy and mutual understanding between partners.
* Improve communication and emotional regulation through compassion-focused techniques.
* Integrate CFT into existing therapeutic approaches for couples.
Through case examples and practical exercises, attendees will leave with actionable strategies to foster compassion, resilience, and stronger emotional bonds in the couples they work with.
