Building Therapeutic Alliance Across Time and Space
For almost a year, Clinical Mental Health Counselors across the globe have been forced to pivot to the use of technology assisted counseling as a result of COVID-19. In this webinar, Dr. Anita Neuer Colburn will examine the opportunities and threats posed by video-based counseling. Specifically, the challenges to and strategies for building a strong therapeutic working alliance screen-to-screen will be explored. A review of current scholarship addressing perceptions of both counselors and clients will be included. The webinar will conclude with considerations for the future of clinical mental health counseling.
