Heather Crowell

Heather Crowell, LCMHC, MLADC, LCS, LMHC, LCPC, LPC, PMH-C

I am currently an AMHCA member and have been in good standing since 2015. I am currently the chair of the AMHCA Membership Committee and work closely with finance in that role. I also hold the role of President of the New Hampshire Mental Health Counselors Association with that term ending June 2026. I served as Treasurer of the New Hampshire Mental Health Counselors Association from 2020-2023. During this time, I worked to streamline our financial management and ensure that the system that we had was able to carry through to several treasurers in the future.

As the treasurer for the American Mental Health Counselors Association, I hope to bring my skills and knowledge to the organization and the Board of Directors. I am highly organized and meticulous with my work. I feel that I can bring my financial management skills to the organization and work to change the financial culture.

A solid financial plan is what will allow the organization to grow. This involves working with committees to look at revenue generating initiatives including increasing membership, advertising, and trainings. Working with the Board of Directors to increase revenue streams and to work on increasing the finances of the organization would be a priority. Additionally, increasing member benefits and return on investment would be a goal of mine as treasurer as this is what will sustain the organization in the future.

Bringing skills and knowledge to the AMHCA organization is an important goal for me personally. I would love to have the opportunity to bring my financial management skills to the Board of Directors and expand the reach of the organization.
