After a decade of service, @Rebecca Woodson is stepping down from her role at the American Mental Health Counselors Association this July.
Throughout her 10 years of service, Rebecca has worn many hats, serving as Director of Membership and later as the Director of the Office of Credentialing and Continuing Education and Director of Events. Under her leadership, AMHCA’s conferences expanded in size and scope, helping us reach more members and offer new ways to engage. She also played a key role in launching and sustaining our home study program and credentialing certifications, initiatives that support our members’ professional growth.
“Rebecca’s work has been instrumental in shaping and executing high-caliber national events that have greatly advanced our mission and brought meaningful value to our members," said Courtney Ackerson, the 2025-26 AMHCA Board President. "The fact that she led these efforts independently as a department of one speaks volumes about her professionalism, organizational skill, and commitment to excellence. She leaves behind a legacy of impactful programming, including the AMHCA Annual Conference, Fall Summit, the webinar and home study program, and key initiatives that reflect her vision and tireless effort.”
"Rebecca’s attention to detail and dedication to creating fun, meaningful, and educational experiences for AMHCA members have left a lasting impression," said Whitney Meyerhoeffer, Director of Communications. "She has worked tirelessly to bring the visions of multiple president-elects to life over the years. While I’m truly happy and excited for her next adventure, I will deeply miss working alongside her."
Rebecca’s creativity, professionalism, and passion for our work have made AMHCA a stronger organization.
Please join us in thanking her for her many contributions and in wishing her the very best in the journey ahead.
