Bio

Sandra B. Stanford has a heart for people who find themselves in hard situations. Because of this passion she earned her Master’s Degree in Psychological Counseling. Her work with clients is collaborative working alongside the client to help in the healing process. Sandra’s goal is to help clients recognize, define, and achieve growth and healing in their hearts and home.

Sandra is an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and is certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which is a powerful psychotherapy approach that has helped an estimated two million people of all ages relieve many types of psychological distress.

Approach & Philosophy

Sandra enjoys working with couples and is certified in the Prepare & Enrich program. She is trained in Emotional Intimacy which teaches couples how to connect on a deeper level; addressing areas of communication, conflict resolution, empathy, needs, and forgiveness. She also works with couples who are broken from an affair and desire healing. It’s a hard process, but it’s worth it!

Sandra offers a faith-based weekend intensive retreat for couples.

Sandra is a member of Florida Mental Health Counselors Association.

Sandra looks forward to meeting you and helping you on your journey. She is honored to be a CEU provider for EMDRIA as well as a Regional Trainer for the Florida Mental Health Counselor Association.  Her next workshop will be displayed on the Education for Counselors tab where you can register.

Sandra has training in attachment theory and in somatic healing. She enjoys teaching her clients about the Polyvagal Theory which addresses the nervous system and how to regulate in a healthy way. Sandra is certified in the SSP program and works with adults. 

Sandra has partnered with Robin Nicholas, LMHC to provide symposiums (online trainings) for therapists, registered interns and graduate students. The symposiums are taught by experts in their field.
 

Sandra and her husband, David, have been married over 30 years and have two adult children, Jonathan and Anna Beth, a son in love, Christopher, grandsons Ashton and Elliot. They reside in Titusville, Florida.
