Renee Hodgins,M.Ed., LPC, NCC, CCTP, CIMHP

Renee Hodgins, M.Ed., LPC, NCC, CCTP, CIMHP, is a licensed psychotherapist and the founder of the Counseling & Educational Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Dedicated to the well-being of women, her practice specializes in supporting Black Professional Women, particularly those navigating the pressures of being perceived as the "Black Superwoman."
At her Counseling & Educational Center, she prioritizes psychotherapy, supervision, and consultation, ensuring that pre-licensed counselors, interns, and undergraduate practicum students receive invaluable training to contribute to the community. Her approach focuses on equipping individuals with the necessary tools to manage challenges and thrive by leveraging their strengths and support systems.
Renee is not only a licensed psychotherapist but also a lifelong educator whose career spans decades and multiple educational settings. Her commitment to learning and healing has taken root in early childhood classrooms, K–12 schools, and university campuses. Her work in higher education includes serving as a Counseling Services Specialist, supporting newly arrived refugees as they navigated the trauma of displacement and the challenges of cultural adjustment. She also held the role of International Studies Academic Advisor, guiding students through complex academic pathways while fostering global awareness and resilience.
With an integrative approach to mental health, Renee incorporates yoga and nutritional groups to promote holistic healing.
