Laurie Ann Persh, LCPC, LMFT, CCMHC

Laurie Ann Persh, LCPC, LMFT, CCMHC, recent past President of the Washington DC Mental Health Counselors Association, has worked in a variety of settings for over 40 years across a continuum of care. She is board certified in clinical mental health and is bilingual in English and Spanish. Ms. Persh is an experienced clinician, critical incident responder and trainer; with expertise in trauma, grief, and loss; family systems, work-life balance, and cross-cultural counseling. Ms. Persh has managed her own private practice, now in Silver Spring, MD (USA) for over 10 years, while also presenting numerous workshops. Her current focus is on helping up and coming counselors through training and supervision. She has been an active member of several national and local professional counseling associations and boards. She most recently served as co Coordinator for the Country Ambassador program for the IAC and is on the joint task force between IAC and AMHCA regarding guidelines for Telehealth; and continues to volunteer with IAC and IAC interagency groups.
