
Shazia Naurin, Ph.D, LPCC-S, NCC, CCMHC, ACS
Dr. Shazia Naurin holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Ohio University, a masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Dayton, and advanced degrees in Clinical and Applied Psychology from the University of Punjab, Pakistan. Dr. Naurin is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Supervisor in Ohio, a Nationally Certified Counselor, a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and an Approved Clinical Supervisor with specialized training in EMDR and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
Her clinical experience spans work with children, adolescents, and adults in diverse settings including behavioral health urgent care, long term care facilities, schools, and international mental health contexts. Dr. Naurin’s research focuses on empathy development, empathy fatigue, and cultural empathy in counselor education. She is actively involved in professional leadership through the Ohio Counseling Association, American Counseling Association, Association for Counselor Educators and Supervisor and related organizations.
